Santa’s Secret £10 Tombola was a one-night only event that took place in December 2006 in collaboration with Marieclaire McCabe and Chris Miller. Forty artists were invited to make a piece of work to the value of £10, wrap it up in Christmas paper and bring it to a disused shop in Redruth, Cornwall. The space was curated in relation to the wrapped objects, and as the evening got underway and the works were sold, for £10 by tombola, the packages were unwrapped and the visual landscape of the space changed. All the work sold and each artist received £10 for his or her piece.
